The finals of the Kannada Dumb Charads came to an end on Monday. Kavyashree of II PMC secured the I place. The II place was secured by Neethu of III PMC and her team and the third place was won by Gagana of II MEC and team. The theme of the Dumb Charads was Sandalwood movies and songs.
A thrilling tie between Neethu’s team and Kavya’s team kept everyone guessing as to who would win the first place. Kavya’s team narrowly won the tie breaker round by guessing three out of five, while Neethu’s team got two correct.
Kavyashree, the winner of the Dumb Charads, said, “At first it was difficult, because our team didn’t know many movie names and songs. Only based on the way it sounded we were able to guess. At the end we picked up and it was easy for us.”
Sowndarya, host of the event, and a member of the Sangha, said, “I was happy with the response that the participants and the Kannada students showed. This competition was based on Kannada movies and songs. We had a tie breaker where each team was given five Kannada words.”
